Prophetess Dr. Barbara Taylor co-pastor, Word of Life Ministries with her husband, Apostle Ernest Taylor. Word of Life is a phenomenally progressive ministry, with an apostolic – prophetic edge that leads its people into the presence of God. This produces effective changes in the lives of those that adhere to the Word of the Lord spoken through Prophetess Barbara Taylor. Prophetess Barbara Taylor is a powerful speaker who flows under a heavy prophetic anointing. She is also an effective instrument of spiritual breakthrough and deliverance, which she cultivated through prayer, study and faithful service in ministry for over 30 years. Over the years, Prophetess Barbara has served in many capacities to support the ministry and advance the Kingdom of God.
She graduated from Logos Ministerial Institute in 1990 and received a Doctorate in Biblical Studies in June of 2004 from North Carolina College of Theology in Wilmington, North Carolina. Prophetess Barbara received the 2004 Most Influential African American Vision Award in Lake County, Illinois. On February 25, 2005, she was ordained as a Prophetess by Bishop Harold Calvin Ray of Redemptive Life Fellowship Church in West Palm Beach, Fla. She actively serves on several community committees and is a member of the 19th Judicial Circuit Family Violence Coordinating Council/Faith Committee. This committee finds ways to provide resources to the faith community as they work with victims of child abuse, domestic violence and elderly abuse.
In June of 2001, God miraculously delivered her from Chiari Malformation I, a condition that would have normally left a patient paralyzed. The doctors were in awe of her recovery and declared, “If God has performed a miracle on anyone, it is you“. As a result, God birthed a foundation for women who have been diagnosed with cancer and diabetes. She annually hosts a Prophetic Prayer Gathering as a form of outreach that provides support, strength and encouragement to many women. God uses Prophetess Barbara to instruct and inspire His people to form a personal relationship and a constant fellowship with Him. She rightly divides the Word of God and teaches and preaches the uncompromising truths in the scriptures. This causes the hearers to become doers and experience the power of God in their own lives. As a result, there are believers representing Christ to those that don’t know him. Therefore, Prophetess Barbara firmly believes in Matthew 6:33 and knows that God “brings the balance in your life”. Prophetess Barbara loves her husband and family deeply. She has been married to Apostle Ernest Taylor for over 38 years and from this union they have two daughters, Scoletta Cherelle (David) Montgomery and Tonjia Denice Taylor. She is the proud grandmother of three grandchildren, Darius Cordelle Russelle, David Ernest Montgomery, and Destiny Montgomery.
